Rules and Regulations for the State Street Promenade
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City Council adopted ordinances to allow the closure of the 500 through 1300 blocks of State Street to motor vehicles. The resulting “Promenade” has become a haven for cyclists and pedestrians.
The City Administrator has issued a set of rules and regulations for the safe use of the State Street Promenade by pedestrians, bicyclists, and users of other wheeled devices.
Regulations will be enforced by the Police Department and are in effect for the duration of the closure of the State Street Promenade to motor vehicle traffic.
