Sustainability Committee

While the City had been considered a leader in environmental issues for many years, the City Council formally created a sustainability program in 2006 to coordinate environmental project efforts in different departments. The Sustainability Council Committee meets as needed to guide environmental initiatives, receive updates on key projects and programs, and make policy recommendations to Council.

The Sustainability Council Committee meets the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in Room 15, upstairs at Santa Barbara City Hall, 735 Anacapa Street.
