Lead and Copper Sampling Program

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires water agencies including the City of Santa Barbara to periodically sample water from residential faucets of a certain age for lead and copper. As part of this requirement, the City of Santa Barbara is collecting information from property owners who may qualify for this free service.

To determine eligibility, please fill out the interest form by August 12, 2023. Properties that meet the EPA’s testing requirement will be provided with sampling materials and easy-to-follow instructions. City staff will coordinate with you to schedule pick-up of bottles for analysis.
