New Beginnings Safe Parking Program

The City of Santa Barbara provides funding support to New Beginnings’ Safe Parking program, which offers safe overnight parking to individuals and families living in their vehicles. The City also provides 25 safe parking spaces on City-owned lots throughout the City.

New Beginnings has operated the Safe Parking Program since 2004 in cooperation with local churches, governmental and non-profit agencies, and businesses. New Beginnings also offers a variety of services, including rapid rehousing services, case management and other housing assistance.
