There are two ways to purchase a Waterfront Parking Permit:
1) Online: Completing the parking permit application through this website is the most convenient and efficient way to purchase a Waterfront Parking Permit. Note: no permits will be processed until December 1, 2025. Permits sold online include two delivery options: In person with pick up at the Parking Office (will call), or US Mail. After the online purchase, within minutes customers will receive a temporary parking permit via email to print or display on their smartphone.
2) In Person: If you are not able to purchase a parking permit online, you may purchase a permit in person at the Harbormaster's Office located at 132 Harbor Way, Suite A (second floor). If you have any questions please call the Parking Office at (805) 564-5523.
Annual Parking Permit Eligibility and Restrictions
Permit Fee: $145.00 (Valid December 1, 2025 through December 31, 2026)
Size Restrictions: Vehicles must not exceed 22’ in length, 90” in height, 82” width.
Ineligible Vehicles: Annual parking permits will not be issued to buses, vehicles not licensed for travel on public highways, recreational vehicles, house cars, motorhomes or campers. Annual parking permits will not be issued to vehicles used for commercial purposes unrelated to maritime or ocean activities.

Replacement Parking Permits
When a vehicle is sold, traded, or damaged, the customer may purchase a replacement permit for $20.00. Customer needs to return the original parking permit to the Waterfront Parking Office at the time of replacement. The City of Santa Barbara is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced permits after purchase.
