15 Belt Press Feed Pumps Start Up
The Filter Feed Pumps are typically run under automatic control from the Belt Filter Press local control panel. One pump is in operation while the other is on standby.
Watch for open tanks and high elevations. Exercise caution when using the stairs. If working on or near equipment, watch for rotating parts.
Operator I, knowledge of dewatering process and equipment controls.

The Belt Press Feed Pumps are typically run under automatic control from the Belt Filter Press local control panel. Typically, both pumps are in operation. If necessary, one pump can supply sludge to the Belt Filter Press.
1. Start Belt Press Feed Pumps {tag nos. 1505PMP/MTR/VFD5700 & 1505PMP/MTR/VFD5800}.
The Belt Press Feed Pumps are typically run under automatic control by the Belt Filter Press control sequence. Step 1 can be skipped if the Belt Press Feed Pumps have been running normally and are under AUTO control by the belt press filter. Step 1 must be performed if the Belt Press Feed Pumps have been taken out of service.
a. Go to the Local Control Panel {tag nos. 1505LCP5700 & 1505LCP5800}.
i. Verify that the Drive Unit Breaker Switch {tag nos. 1505BKR5700 & 1505BKR5800} is in the ON position.
ii. Verify that HOA switch {tag nos. 1505HS5700 & 1505HS5800} is in the ON position and the indicator light is on {tag nos. 1505YL5700 & 1505YL5800}.
- Update log book.
- Update maintenance records (if applicable).
- Report any maintenance or attention that is required.
