All personnel should wear eye protection and a particle (dust) mask when appropriate.

Procedure
Procedure:
  1. Make sure that the primary clarifier, grit, and channel covers are secured and bolted down.
  2. Make sure all roll-up doors are closed and secured. These include the doors for the Blower Room, Solids Handling Building, Digester Control Building, Influent Pump Station (3 doors), Sludge Pump Room, Thickened Sludge Pump Station, and the Maintenance Shop.
  3. Secure the Washer/Compactor bags with bungee cords.
  4. Review the "Utility Power Failure - SCE" SOP.
  5. Check and confirm that the generators are in Automatic mode. Also check the Automatic Transfer Switch at Substation A.
  6. Take the State and Federal flags down from the flagpole.
