Calculating Your Bill

There are several ways to calculate your trash and recycling bill, and to figure out how changing services will affect your bill.

1)      Rate Tables: Open the current rate table (PDF) - scroll to the third page. Its shows the costs for each waste container based on the number of days of pickup.

2)      Online Bill Calculator: Use the bill calculator to calculate your current bill and what you would pay if you made adjustments.

3)      Talk to Us: Call a City Recycling Specialist at 805-564-5627 to discuss your options.

 

Recycling, Foodscraps, and Greenwaste are 50% Cost of Trash

Starting July 1, 2013 the City of Santa Barbara began operating under a new contract for trash and recycling services negotiated with MarBorg Industries. Under the contract, all recycling services -- blue bin, green bin, and yellow bin– are 50% the cost of trash service. Business customers have access to trash, recycling, greenwaste and foodscraps service. A wide variety of different container sizes and collection frequencies are offered to meet the specific needs of Business customers.
