Housing Task Force

The Housing Task Force was established on December 13, 2016 to evaluate certain aspects of the Average Unit-Size Density (AUD) Incentive Program, consider potential ordinance amendments, and provide recommendations to City Council. Click here for information on the Average Unit-Size Density Program.

The Housing Task Force held eleven public meetings resulting in numerous recommendations. On February 13, 2018 City Council referred the Housing Task Force recommendations to the Planning Commission for consideration prior to initiating Zoning Ordinance Amendments to Titles 28 and 30 of the Santa Barbara Municipal Code.
