Area: approx. 239 acres

South: Highway 101
East: Las Positas Road
West: the easterly boundary of La Cumbre Shopping Center

Schools, Parks and Places of Interest

Hitchcock contains the Community Golf Course, the YMCA, and the Adams Elementary School. The Earl Warren Show Grounds are adjacent on unincorporated land.

Neighborhood Profile

Hitchcock consists of several sub-areas which are highly diverse. There are single family areas, small vacant areas, and one area zoned for apartment development. The General Plan recognizes this diversity by designating the major portion of Hitchcock at five dwelling units to the acre, the higher density portion at twelve dwelling units to the acre, and the area adjacent to La Cumbre Shopping Center for a mix of office and residential uses. In the southwestern corner, the majority of this land has been developed with an auto center.
